Let the process of making a mess clean up your headspace! Explore abstract painting as a medium for emotional release, and learn how getting sloppy with paint can be a healthy outlet for stress. The class works through abstract painting basics, some fun techniques, and how to incorporate creativity into a mental health practice. Enjoy a non-judgmental space led by a local artist who uses painting as her own outlet.
ART 64 is a free festival with food, drinks, live entertainment, and real-time voting for your favorite artists. In three rounds, artists are paired to go head-to-head and given 60 minutes to create a work of art on a predetermined theme on canvas.
Members of the public, both in-person and virtually, are invited to watch the paintings come to life and vote for their favorite artists to advance online.
All participants receive a monetary award, increasing based on the round they reach in the competition. The sole winner of ART 64 receives $20,000!
